God is not a man. Something about paganism, and therefore series and games influenced by it or that drive inspiration from it, is that you got "gods" who are sometimes just strong humanlike beings... some are weaker than "mortals" and they also die, which is funny considering they were supposed to be immortals... It's like it doesn't make sense to have many gods who are themselves created. And the "void" or the darkness atheists imagine as their version of the eternal originating force, also doesn't make sense since it's by definition... nothing. Nothing can't do something, what even is nothingness? What is randomness, every simulation that has "random" to it literally fakes randomness based on variables, like the time of the day and other elements... So the concept of randomness isn't scientifically proven, nor logically so. Randomness is de facto what we don't understand, being real. People used to look at nature as random, and when they figured out the patterns they they saw they were wrong... And nothingness can't be proven either scientifically... it's an assumption. Something about dark souls isn't clicking, of course it's fictional, but it does illustrate some beliefs many uphold... nihilism that is. Also the undead are supposed to be people of hell, and they are not immortal on their own at all... God could will to cease their life... I think the conversation about the utility of healing is largely pointless because whats more impactful on your experience isnt the amount of mistakes afforded to you by the amount of healing items you carry but rather your inherent skill in the game, thats not to say that estus and life gems dont have an impact but rather that that impact is either lessend or exaggerated depending on the skill of the player at hand

The fact you said "self actualization" makes me think of philosophical and spiritual journeys of the self and how suffering is always mentioned when talking about pyromancy, makes me think pyro would be strength of character?/ a type of charisma or will not necessarily or limited to extraversion. Either introverts who have gained internal strength or extroverts who learn how to always be humble could learn the pyromancy and its been honed by suffering which makes sense. Belief, sky, yellow, electric, energy, ancient truth, ignorant of sciences, bigger picture) you can still not have the "will" to operate these things (fire, orange, red, dark? Warm, aethery-matter like, air, breath). It becomes more interesting and lines up more with the fact that i believe the blood in flammable in ds3? So theres 4 or 5 different cross duality sections. Light, dark, heat, cold - blood/matter. Or faith, pyro, magic - dark/faith/int (dark hits with physical) dark is definitely lore wise and in reality the most human element as it really is a mixture of all these things. In ds2 you have to have faith and intelligence to use dark hexes which as i suspected actually came from miracles. A dark miracle. And isnt visually like magic or miracle but is most like black flame. Many things in dark souls has also been described as "warm, dark, soft". The human is like the ultimate paradox to the nth degree. We are tied to the flame, belief, come from the dark are thinking and not an insect yet are somewhat parasitical (choas bug reference and likeness as well) but can also do good for our environment despite being parasitic if we choose. We need light to see, but not necessarily feel, which means we need flame, which destroys our flammable bodies, turning us to ash. The only way to do this is to have intelligence which is scorned by faith and to have ego/fire/will which is scorned by faith and intelligence and if you have too much or too little of literally any one of these things you will be destroyed quickly, or slowly a gradually. But were going to all die anyway. It is, without doubt 100% insanity inducing. You really need to try and capture the whole idea without words in your mind. Then i guess you would get the human, or dark souls. Which is actually very meta of the human experience on earth being a game created by humans giving critique? Knight Oscar is my favorite NPC in all of souls lore not including Demon's Souls but seeing him in the cut scene walking away in what I think is the best looking armor again in all of souls lore made me make him. 2:16 ok, few things: first off, the Royal we is used more in office, not personally, so her using the we makes sense. And secondly, a lot of people refer to your scent, not just Arianna and Annalise. The imposter doctor does (“ah, moonlit scents”), the young girl does (“I don’t know your voice, but I know that smell. Are you a hunter?”), and the Oedon chapel dweller does (“oh, you must be a hunter. The incense must’ve masked your scent”. And remember, this dude’s blind, so he recognizes that your hunter by scent, not by sight). That’s not to disparage your whole series or opinion, I just think these points are kind of weak, compared to Arianna’s dress, for example.

One thing though: don’t you find the bloodletting beast with its head? Why would the waking world Lawrence have a bloodletting beast form with a head, when his head is supposed to be kept as a holy artifact?
